Can I transit in Singapore without a visa ?

Nationals of Assessment Level I and II countries do not require a visa to transit through Singapore Changi Airport as long as they fulfill the following requirements:

  • have an onward ticket,
  • remain in the transit area,
  • have their luggages checked to their final destination,
  • do not clear immigration to enter Singapore, and,
  • are not travelling on a low-cost airline (except for passengers travelling on Scoot with Scoot-thru and passengers traveling on Tigerair with Tigerconnect).

Nationals of certain countries may enter Singapore under the Visa Free Transit Facility.

Will I be able to enter Singapore during my transit at Changi Airport?

Yes, you are allowed to enter Singapore during your transit as long as you have the valid travel documents (passport, visa etc). Passengers are advised to find out the transfer details from their airline(s) before embarking on their journeys. Most passengers who are arriving on or connecting to budget airlines are required to seek immigration clearance and obtain their onward boarding passes in the respective Departure Check-in Hall. You may visit the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website for further information on entry requirements into Singapore.
